I have the latest version of skype, and the latest JAWS scripts. However, when I press ctrl+shift+O to get the contact list it says unable to get the contact list. When I sign into skype (this happens automatically when I start the aplication) it always goes into the conversations panel. Are there other panels in skype and if so how do you get to them?
Skype 4.2 and latest scripts work beautifully. Your problems are caused by not having yours setup properly. I'm going to give you some reading, then if you still need help after ask exact questions and I'll help you out.
First make sure you have the latest scripts. Do this by using control shift, and W. Yes I know you said you did, but makes sure. Next compile them control shift and C. Insert H will give you general instructions, but I'd like you to read the users guide as well you can do this by using insert and tapping f 1 twice quickly to load that page. You must have it set up then you'll have a smooth ride.

There is also a nice little program called Skype Talking that doesn't require you to go through all the complicated steps of setting up jaws scripts.
Infact, I no longer use scripts. All you have to do is authorise skype to use it.
